Hinterland. is a music label working with artists on the exploratory frontiers of electronic sound.
Inspired by thoughtful rhythms and future-gazing soundscapes, Hinterland. brings together genre-defying visual artists and musicians in an exploration of sound.
I worked with illustrator Ewa Mirska on the identity, inspired by the metaphoric hazy, mysterious realms that exist between natural and electronic sounds – a vision we’ve tried to capture in the identity through the interplay between the washed out watercolour textures and the Hinterland. symbol.
The logotype is custom hand-lettering that we optimised for digital reproduction – for use in print, across the web, and in live shows.
The final outcome was rendered in a few different lockups, and we’ve made optimised versions of the logo for smaller sizes.
